Solar array construction nears completion

The solar arrays for Cleve Hill Solar Park are expected to be fully installed by April 2025.

Most of the solar modules have now been successfully installed across the site. As this phase of the project draws to a close, there is also a significant reduction in the number of site operatives.

There will be some ongoing activities for the solar modules for a further six to nine months. This includes finishing and landscaping & planting work which will continue throughout the operational phase of the solar park.

As solar panel deliveries have finished, construction traffic to and from site have started to reduce.

Separately, civil works in preparation for the Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) are underway and expected to be complete in April/May. This work includes preparing the ground within the bunded compound that will house the BESS alongside the solar substation and associated electrical infrastructure.
